Labyrinths are re-emerging in many Christian traditions as meaningful tool in spiritual growth.
A labyrinth is a set path that winds to a center and back out again. There is just one path that leads in and out; there is no way to become lost or trapped. Unfortunately, the term labyrinth is often used interchangeably with maze, which is a tour puzzle with lots of path choices, most of which are dead ends. But it is more than that.

Labyrinths are tools for spiritual transformation. It is not unusual for a person to emerge from the labyrinth inspired, encouraged, and grateful, with clarity about spiritual direction. Walking a Labyrinth creates an intentional time and space for the Holy Spirit to work on your inner being, to allow us to hear the “still small voice of God”.
Many Christian faith communities (churches) are beginning to use these as part of worship gatherings, retreats, events and even as a permanent fixture to the communal worship space.
I am providing here what information I have and I encourage you to consider using a labyrinth in your community. Follow the links below or use the menu bar at the top of the page.
