My Context

By admin on Jan 2, 2008 | In Uncategorized | Send feedback »

A few years ago, the leadership team at the church we were attending (me included) incorporated prayer stations into the worship gatherings on Sundays. We would sit together in my living room once a week, planning and brainstorming. Then I would take the ideas and run, making prayer stations that would compliment the other elements that make up a Sunday evening worship gathering.

We have also used the prayer stations for events such as Ash Wednesday Service , youth gatherings, small group meetings, and even for a time of prayer during a Missional Ecclesiology class at a seminary once.

For me, it was an experience that goes far beyond the joy of serving others. For the first time in my life I was able to use my artistic talent to worship my maker. Not only that, but it has helped others to worship as well. I can’t even begin to explain how deeply that affected me.

My hope is that you and others will be able to use this site as a resource.

Who I am...

My name is Faith, and I am a redhead who is on this crazy journey towards Jesus.

I am turning 31 this year, have been married for 10 of those (loving every minute of it!) and have two little boys that keep me very busy.

For some crazy reason to which I am not privy to, God has me attending Seminary (Shout out to my fellow cohorts at Fox!). Hopefully I will earn a Masters of Divinity by 2011. We shall see.

I dabble in art, because it fun and you get to get terribly messy. Pottery is the best…*giggle*… mud! I also like trying to grow things. I say try because I have a black thumb.

I am no longer creating prayer stations for communal worship. That step in my journey is passed, although it may come up again someday. Right now I am playing with personal prayer through my hands. I have my art work up here… mostly for my personal reference.
