Wordless Worship 2 - Finger Paint
By admin on Apr 22, 2008 | In My Favorites, All, Inward Focused | Send feedback »
This contemplative prayer station is to allow people to sing their worship with their fingers! And get messy!!!!
——————–
Directions for leadership:
Originally this station was meant to be used in tandem with other wordless worship stations, forming an entire hour long service, but it can also be used individually or for a series of Sundays.
Set up several long tables in a row and make it so people can work in a messy fashion.
What you need:
Paper
Finger paints
Wash basins
Towels
A way to hang the art work
Directions found below
Place the paper and paints all over with the wash basins and towels on either end. Hang the directions up so they don’t get covered as the station is used. Find a creative way to hang the art when people finish. We like clothes lines or webs.

—————
Directions :
Sometimes that deep feeling toward God simply can not be expressed in words. Using the paper and paints before you, let your fingers sing a song of color to God. When you are done, hang it to dry and use the wash basins to clean up a bit. At the end of the service you may take you painting if you like.
