Directions for leadership:
Set up an area that would be comfortable to sit in for a rather long time. Place around the area the following instructions.

OR… Place the directions next to a tv that has static (it has to be an old tv) and then have them move to a room that has a water fountain for the second part… the part where they try to hear God’s still small voice.

Directions:
Start Here
Sound engineers speak of two things… signals and white noise. The signal is the meaning full part of a transmission and the white noise interferes with our ability to hear and understand the signal.
Our lives are full of noise; information, messages, and tasks that compete for our attention. It makes it hard to hear The Signal: God.
Take a moment and sit. Listen.
What do you hear? Music? Whispers? Kids playing?
Savor each noise and then set it aside.
What noise is going on inside of you?
Chattering thoughts, nagging worries, hurts and anger, list of things to do?
Sort them out and listen to each, then set it aside in your mind.
Once you have cleared your heart and mind move try to start listening for God.
We will always have white noise confusing our lives. It’s learning how to turn that noise off and just be in the presence of God that is important.
Taking time to listen for His Signal.
